Rest for Women with Cancer
Women qualify to attend this weekend if they:
- have received a cancer diagnosis and are undergoing treatment or have recently completed treatment
- are physically able to move between rooms and down hallways to meeting places
Cancer takes its toll physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually, and financially. A weekend of rest in a peaceful, safe environment could be good medicine.
We hold this program every year and include a number of women in remission so that they can support the women who are still unwell.
The minimum age to attend is 25.
Note that we always give priority to women with low income and/or those who are single mothers.

Applicants must complete an application form and a confidential health form.
The minimum age to attend is 25.
Please note that moms must find their own childcare for the time they are with us. We always give priority to women with low income and/or those who are single mothers.

Rest for Grandmothers Raising Their Grandchildren
To learn that you have the responsibility to raise one or more grandchildren usually comes at a very high price. Women who may have been preparing to retire or at least slow down now must raise a family again.
We welcome the grandmothers every year in groups that have women who have attended previously and women joining us for the first time.
Applicants must complete an application form, a confidential health form, and include a referral from a professional with whom they have a relationship, for example, a counselor, a social worker, a healthcare professional, a clergyperson.
Women with other kinship such as sister or aunt raising children are eligible for this program as well.
Please note that grandmothers must find their own childcare for the time they are with us. Low-income grandmothers get priority in the acceptance process.
