If you are a mother in need of a rest and an opportunity to relax in a peaceful, quiet setting, we encourage you to apply. Likewise, if you know such a mom, encourage her to apply.
Where is your program located?
The Center of Renewal on the campus of Stella Niagara, north of Niagara Falls. We may be able to help with transportation. Ask us.
Do you provide childcare?
Mother or grandmother must find her own childcare for the time she will be with us. We will need the contact info for that person in case of emergency.
What can I expect during the program?
The Women’s Respite Program provides a modest private room, all meals, linens, plus great recreational activities that are all optional. We do arts and crafts, sometimes we have yoga instruction; there is an indoor pool. We show movies in the evening and serve snacks. The beautiful grounds are safe and have lots of walking paths.
How can I apply?
Mom or grandmother fills out 2-page application and 1-page health form. Agency rep or social worker fills out 1-page referral form. Visit our applications section on our website for the pages. No referral form is required for the weekends for women with cancer, mothers of children on the autism spectrum or our alums.
Is there a cost?
No fee, but we request a $20 donation at the time of the program.
